I know choosing a photographer comes with a lot of little questions. This is where I’ve gathered the answers to the things I’m asked most often, so you can feel at ease before we even begin. Think of it as a peek behind the curtain: what to expect, how it all works, and a few extra details to make the process feel simple and stress-free. And if you don’t see your question here - ask away. I love the details, and no question is ever too small.
How do I book a session?
Booking is simple. Just fill out my contact form with your details and preferred date. Once we’ve confirmed availability, a 50% deposit secures your session and holds your spot on my calendar. Not quite ready to book? No problem. I’m always happy to answer questions or chat through details over email or phone.
Can you help us with the planning?
Absolutely. I love this part of the process! I'll be as involved as you want me to - styling tips, locations suggestions and anything else you can think of.
What should we wear?
You’ll get a client guide to help guide you in the right direction. I also love helping choose outfits, you can text or email me anytime! My goal is to find looks that feel comfortable and true to you, while also photographing beautifully and staying timeless.
What if we’re awkward or uncomfortable in front of the camera?
Don’t worry — you’re not alone! I'll offer gentle guidance for poses, so there's no pressure to know what to do. Truly come as you are! I’ll help you move, laugh, and connect so that your photos feel effortless and genuine.
What if my kids won't cooperate?
Kids aren’t meant to sit still and smile on cue, and I don’t expect them to. I follow their lead, whether that means running, exploring, or needing a break in your arms. As a mom to a toddler and a baby, I know what real life with kids looks like, and I promise it’s more than enough. There’s no pressure, no rush here. All I ask is that you show up, love on your kids, and let me capture the magic in the middle of it all.
What if my baby cries during my newborn shoot?
Newborn sessions always move at your baby’s pace. If they need to feed, cuddle, or be soothed, we’ll take that time. And don’t worry, they don’t need to be asleep for their photos to be beautiful. All I want is for you to relax into this fleeting stage and enjoy it, while I quietly capture the beauty as it unfolds.
Can we include our pets?
Yes please! Pets are always welcome. Just let me know ahead of time, so we can plan accordingly.
Do you travel?
I'm located in Savannah, Georgia and shoot mostly in the city and the surrounding Low Country. I’m always happy to discuss further distances for an additional fee, especially for a location that feels special to you.
How long until we receive our photos?
Portrait sessions will be delivered within 3-4 weeks and weddings within 6-8 weeks. I put a lot of care into editing each image beautifully and with intention. The wait is always worth it!
What if I have to reschedule?
Life happens. Kids get sick, storms roll in and schedules shift. If something comes up, just let me know as soon as you can and we’ll find a new date that works. For weather-related reschedules, I’ll keep an eye on the forecast and stay in touch so we can make the call together.
